I finally found time to write another post. Christmas is right around the corner and I still had a lot of shopping to do. As stressful as the holidays can be, I recently went to Barnes and Noble and B.A.M to look for some new reading material.
I decided to do a post for any book lovers or anyone who needs a good read.
Taipei – Tao Lin
This has been on my reading list for a while It follows a man named Paul living in Brooklyn who eventually travels to Taiwan to learn about his family roots. The main character gets himself into some interesting situations. The focus of the book on what it means to be alive and to be young caught my attention. I started the first few chapters but once a finished book I’m currently reading I’ll get to it next.
Men Without Women- Haruki Murakami
One of my favorite authors and I own almost all of his books. This book is a collection of short stories about men who have lost women in their lives. Murakami is a great storyteller, I highly recommend reading any of his books.
Sea of Strangers- Lang Leav
I’ve gotten into poetry books lately. What I like about poetry books is that They’re a quick read and if I take a break from reading it, I don’t forget what happened in the story. This particular book talks about love and relationships and I really enjoyed it. If you’re a fan of milk and honey by Rupi Kaur I highly suggest giving this book a read.
A Beautiful Composition of Broken- R.H. Sin
Another poetry book I’ve started My friend Rave’s about this book and the whole series so much that I decided to get it myself. So far I really like it, I find it very relatable to my personal life.
P.S. I Still Love You- Jenny Han
I got this book because I saw the Netflix movie to all the boys I loved. I thought it was such a cute movie that I decided to read the sequel. Hopefully, I get to the book before the second movie comes out.
All of these books can be purchased on Amazon or a bookstore like Barnes and Noble or B.A.M.
Thanks again for reading and Happy Holidays!!
