How I started blogging

I started blogging around 7 months ago. I was looking for internships for the summer and I kept noticing that many companies wanted interns to be familiar with wordpress, HTML, and graphic design. So I did some research through pinterest (best site ever) and I thought hey why not try this out it looks fun. I decided to create a lifestyle blog because I like to talk about multiple topics. I went with Myspiritedlifestyle because I’m a very go with the flow person. I really like blogging, it’s another creative outlet for me. I love sharing my experiences and ideas with my readers.

I had a slow start in the beginning. I really wasn’t sure what I was doing, I wasn’t very consistent with my post. I didn’t know what to write about. But as time went on I started writing more, improving my content, and utilizing social media a lot more. My blog did help me land an internship this summer. I was so excited that it motivated me more to keep this blog running. I know I still have a long way to go, but I can’t wait to see what other opportunities blogging will have for me.

My advice for bloggers

It’s all trial and error: Blogging is a huge learning experience, you make mistakes and you learn from it. I will say do a lot of research if you’re serious blogging. And get help from other bloggers if you find yourself getting discourage. The best thing I did was join facebook groups with other bloggers that help me improve my blog and give me resourceful tips.

Have fun with it: Don’t take it too seriously. Blogging should be enjoyable, it shouldn’t overwhelm or stress you out. Don’t get all worked up if you’re not getting enough views or likes, It takes time and patience for a blog to grow. Overall just keep writing about things that make you happy!
