5 pieces to add to your wardrobe this summer

Hey guys welcome back.

Lately I’ve been doing a little shopping looking for some summer pieces to add to my wardrobe. ( I’m suppose to be saving money but I’m a shopaholic lol). I definitely prefer summer over winter because during winter I just throw on some leggings, a sweater, boots and call it a day. With summer I can dress a little cuter and show some skin.  I always feel like my style during the summer is 10x better too.

But anyways, during the past few weeks of looking through stores and Pinterest boards for outfit ideas and I’ve found some really good items that I wanted to share with you guys.

  1. Beach cover up/Dress

A dress that you can wear to the beach and then out to eat is a must. It means you can lay out in the sun all day and still look presentable for dinner or wear it for any other outside adventure. It the perfect essential to pack for a beach vacation. This dress is from the surf brand O’neill. I recently just bought this dress and I love it. The material is thick and sturdy which means it won’t break after a few washes. The multicolored stripes fit the summer vibe. This dress is still available on the O’neill site for $54. I highly suggest checking out the rest of the site for their vibrant summer collection.

2. Boho dress

Bring out your inner Coachella girl  with a free spirit bohemian dress. Boho dresses are great because they pair well with all types of shoes. Personally I like to pair my dresses with short booties or gladiator sandals. Boho dresses are the perfect outfit for a concert or music festival. These come in so many cute patterns and colors the possibilities are endless.

Here’s a dress I recently bought. Fun story: This is a Free People’s dress that I found at Marshalls for nearly 65% off. If anyone knows about Free People is that they are pricy. It was the only one I saw in the store and in my size, so I grabbed it immediately without questions. (Shout out to Marshalls).

3.Off-the shoulder top

oof the shoulder

Off-the-shoulder tops are the trend for 2017. I’ve been seeing these in every store. I was a little iffy about buying one of these tops at first but I did and I love it. You can show some skin but not too much skin. If it gets chilly at night, you can just throw a sweater or light jacket on top. It’s perfect to wear out to brunch or out at night. It works well with a nice pair of skinny jeans and heels. The shirt shown above is from Tillys. Tillys is one of my favorite stores because they have a wide selection of items for affordable pricing.

I got this top from Tillys for about $24.

Overalls! Another trend making a comeback in 2017. Everyone should invest in a pair of overalls, whether long or short. The best thing about overalls is that they are so simple to wear. Just throw on overalls, a t-shirt, sneakers, and you’re good to go. But you can dress them up for a more fashionable look with heels or a off-the-shoulder top. The pair shown above is from H&M for $34.

This pair I got from H&M for $34.

5.Printed pants

printed pants

Printed pants are my favorite piece to a summer wardrobe. They add a little pop of color and they come in all sorts a fun patterns. They’re super comfortable, light weight and they don’t stick to your skin when its hot out. An outfit like this is great for festivals or a day out the city. You can get printed pants in stores like forever 21 and H&M for great prices. Printed pants can be styled in so many ways. You can wear them with a crop top,  some nice sandals or summer heels.  If you’re going for the more business casual look, pair them with  a nice blouse and heels.

Well that’s it for now, Thank you guys for reading.
